When should I contact you about photographing my childs birth?
As soon as possible. I will only be accepting a limited number of births per month. I do not want to jeopardize someone’s photography time by overbooking.
Will my doctor/birthing center/ hospital allow this?
It will be up to you to contact your doctor and the facility that you will be laboring in to verify that I will be allowed to photograph the birth. I know some hospitals do not allow photography during certain parts of delivery.
How much does a service like this cost?
I will be offering several plans. Here is my current pricing, if you would like to see more options please feel free to contact me with your suggestions.
The Birth Story- $650
This will include a pre birth meeting, photography during labor and 1-2 hours after birth (depending on how soon baby is returned to mother after birth). A slideshow of the images will be created as well as a custom birth announcement and a private digital gallery. Also included is 4x6 proofs of selected images. Prints can be purchased as a package or al la carte. You will recieve a 15% discount on all regularly priced prints and print packages.
Mommy and Me-$700
Includes maternity session and everything that comes with “The Birth Story”.
Big Happy Family- $750
Includes everything that comes with “The Birth Story”, and “Mommy and Me” as well as a newborn photo shoot. The newborn shoot needs to take place within 14 days of birth. Photos will be shot in my home studio and can include other members of the family. Please allow up to 4 hours for this session, although they can be completed much sooner (newborns are unpredictable, I like to give them time to settle in, and they often have to take meal breaks).
A $100 non refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. Deposit will be applied to fees associated with session (Ex. “The Birth Story” - $100 due at booking, $500 due prior to shooting begins on birth date).
